A Great Height

The pressure, I overwrite,
Every skipped traffic light;
In my eyes, now so bright
Remember that tremendous excite.

And from my mind: An invite
To escape this site so benight.
Feelings filling fast with fright,
I withdraw to that empty bight.

From a great height,
I stare into the abyss of night.
What is shrouded from sight,
I seek myself to ignite.

So tonight,
I shall take flight
From this great height
I shall make it alright.

It is quite
That this air, so polite
Will part at my pompous plight,
Until, with the Earth, I reunite.

So tonight,
I shall take flight
From this great height
I shall make it alright.
